TQ and victory for Francesco Tironi

"The first round of the Italian 1/10 nitro touring nationals took place the at the next 1/10 world championship venue in Gubbio. In qualifying the point system was used with the TQ going directly into the main final. Shepherd/Matrix driver Francesco Tironi managed to win the first two rounds of qualifying which was enough to claim the pole position for the 45min final.

At the start of the final the Velox V10 pilot was able to defend his first position from Dario Balestri in second and after the first round of pitstops he opened a gap of several seconds over the rest of the field. Step by step he increased his lead until he was nearly 2 laps in front midway. Controlling the race at the front for the final 20 minutes Francesco conserved the gap and crossed the finishing line two laps in front of Luca Redaelli with Alessio Mazzeo completing the podium. In the F1 class Shepherd pilot Massimo Balboni finished in second place starting from 4th position."

Front body mount carbon stiffener VELOX

"Shepherd released another option part for the 1/8 on-road vehicles. Made from finest high quality carbon material the new stiffener for the front bumper fits at the Velox V8 EC kit as well as at the Velox E8 electric on-road cars. Fixed with the screws of the front body mounts and coming as a set with two hex. buttonhead screws M3x8 to fix it on the front bulkheads this good looking option part increases the stiffness of the body mounts and the bumper to the maximum. Oliver Mack continues with Shepherd

Oliver Mack will be a part of the Shepherd factory team for another year. The former world championship finalist, European Champion and multiple German Champion had a great 2014 season by finishing the ENS 1/8 overall ranking on the podium in 3rd position. 2015 will be Olivers 7th season for Team Shepherd and he plans to attend the German championship, the European championship in Ettlingen, two ENS events and the World championship in Brazil.

Oliver had the following to say:

Flavio Elias joins Team Shepherd

Team Shepherd is very happy to announce that multiple Brazilian National and South American champion Flavio Elias joins our world wide factory racing team for the 2015 season. With the 2015 1/8th World Championship being held at his hometrack he was searching for the best performing 1/8th car and finally choose the Velox V8 "EC" after various practise sessions.His focus for 2015 is on the 1/8th worlds but he also plans to attend all nationals, the South American Championship, the Winternats and some 1/10th scale nationals with the Velox V10 "PRO".

Flavio had the following to say:

 

"I am very happy with Shepherd and for this world championship year at Brazil I had to choose what is the best for me. Rafa Gilabert gana la segunda carsol-e 2015

Rafa Gilabert volvió a ser el mas rápido ganando las tres finales y marcando la vuelta rápido. De momento no existe pelea por el primer puesto, pero si la hay y mucha por el resto del cajón. Martin Sevilla y Nacho Garcia tuvieron una lucha en centímetros en dos finales, donde incluso se tocaron pero ambos esperaron deportivamente al “rival”. Sveta Baldani se aprovecho de estos toques y logro meterse en la pelea. Al final, el segundo puesto fue para Baldani si bien el ordenador desempato entre los tres pilotos sumando las vueltas y tiempos de las dos finales de cada uno de ellos en lugar de comparar el vueltas y tiempo de la final con mejor posición, que es lo que marca AECAR. El resultado una vez aplicado el reglamento AECAR fue:

Messerli y Macia ganan la 2º y la 3º carrera CARSOL 2015

Este fin de semana se ha disputado las finales correspondientes a la segunda y tercera carrera del CARSOL 2015. El club sigue apostando por la formula de realizar dos finales con puntuaciones independientes cada fin de semana de carrera y en este, Nicolas Messerli (Viper-OS) y Pablo Macia (Viper-Max) se han llevado la victoria en cada una de las finales. Con este resultado, Macia sigue liderando la clasificación seguido por Alfonso Esparza.

Ya nos han llegado los motores by Solaroli para el nacional 2015. Se trata de motores de fabrica montados por Stefano y rodados por y testeados por él. Desde el año pasado, Stefano trabaja en LM s.l.r., la empresa que fabrica y desarrolla motores para distintas firmas. Los mas conocidos en el pasado fueron los SIRIO, pero también los ORION, IDM, XRD…

"Shepherd introduce a chassis stiffener set for the Velox V10 "PRO" 200mm nitro on-road car. Designed to give the chassis more longitudinal stiffness while not affecting the roll the parts increase the rear traction and prevent gear damage on very bumpy tracks. Included in the set are a special gearbox bulkhead machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium, a composite ball bearing bushing and all needed fasteners. The items are also available seperately.

Francesco Tironi extends deal with Shepherd

Italian 2014 European and World championship finalist Francesco Tironi has extended his contract with Shepherd for another year. After a successfull 2014 season with a 3rd place in the ENS 1/10 overall ranking, a 7th place at the 1/8 Euros in Austria and a 6th place at the 1/10 Worlds in Bangkok he will also use the Velox V8 and the Velox V10 of the German manufacturer in the upcoming season. Being motivated for 2015 Francesco plans to race at the Italian championship 1/8 and 1/10, the complete ENS series 1/8, both European championships and the 1/8 World championship in Brazil.

 

Francesco had the following to say:

 

"First of all I want to thank the whole Shepherd Team for a good year and the possibility to be part of such a competetive and nice team with great drivers and wonderfull people. The fact that both cars - the V10 "PRO" and the V8 "EC" - work very well on every track right from the first day makes racing much more enjoyable and is also the reason why I'm very optimistic for the future."

Social 2015 Club Carsol 1/8 1º carrera

El pasado 18 de enero se disputó la primera carrera social del Club CARSOL de la temporada 2015, con las modalidades de 1/8 PG, 1/10 Touring y motos.

La mañana se levantó fría, 0 grados a las 8h. consiguiendo subir entorno a los 5 grados al medio día. La pista estaba a medias tintas, fuera de la línea no agarraba nada y dentro no permitía brusquedades.

En cambio durante las mangas clasificatorias se comprueba que a pesar de las condiciones de agarre el asfalto está rapidísimo, Pablo Maciá es el único que consigue dar 18v en ambas clasificatorias casi igualando los tiempos en mangas del nacional marcando la vuelta rápida en 13.411, seguido por Nicolás, Isaac y Carlos también en 17v y Alfonso en 16v.

Por problemas de horario se modificó el sistema de dos finales a 20min por una sola a 30min.

La salida de la final transcurre sin problemas, Pablo Maciá sale primero, seguido de Isaac y Nicolás. Tras unas primeras vueltas Isaac se acerca a Pablo y rueda pegado a su alerón, mientras Nicolás se les acerca. Antes del primer repostaje Nicolás se precipita con un doblado y sufre un percance, tomando la decisión de abandonar la carrera.  Isaac se mantiene pegado a Pablo cerca de 10 min, pero poco después del segundo repostaje abandona por avería tras perder el piñón de primera velocidad. Por detrás aprovecha Carlos Más para ascender a la tercera posición antes de tomar la decisión de darla por buena y detenerse para conservar motor y, Alfonso Esparza terminaría en segunda posición detrás de Pablo Maciá que cruzaría la bandera a cuadros en primera posición.

SNS,NACIONAL PISTA ELECTRICO

El año que viene podremos disfrutar en España de tres…si si…tres nacionales de pista eléctricos, AECAR, FEDERACION y SNS. Para mi, es un completo fracaso del hobby…¿Quién será el campeón de España? Dicho esto, las SNS tienen una pinta bastante atractiva con la novedad del alquiler del motor para la categoría STOCK, garantizando la casi total igualdad. Aparte del STOCK, se disputaran las categoría de MOD y F1.

 

1 – Marzo, circuito RBR Arena en Barcelona.

9 – Mayo, circuito Nitro 15 en Villareal.

4 – Julio, circuito CAPA en Parla.

12 – Septiembre, circuito Pto. Santa Maria en Cadiz.

 

Tambien se esta cociendo un campeonato similar bajo las siglas NSE…para las categorías de pista gas.

REGIONAL AECAR 1/8 CATALUNYA

FINAL TEMPORADA 1/8 PISTA CATALUNYA
 
Última prueba del Campeonato 1/8 pista de Catalunya en el circuito de Santa Oliva,  con un poco de frio en esta época, y con no mucho agarre en la pista, se disputo la última carrera de la temporada con una participación de 6 pilotos.
Se realizaron 4 clasificatorias para determinar la parrilla de salida quedando de la siguiente forma  Vicente Garcia, Jonathan Rodriguez, Jose Luis Bretcha, Javier Rojas, Jose Luis Hernandez, Jesus Rico.
Entre manga y manga tocaba lo mejor del domingo, una butifarrada de las buenas…..
Esta última carrera determinaría la clasificación final del campeonato de la segunda posición hasta el final, ya que realmente Vicente Garcia ya tenía el campeonato ganado, lo que pasa es que algún piloto no lo sabía, y para no estropearle la ilusión, no se le dijo nada, ese piloto es Jose Luis Hernandez, que en el caso de haber ganado la carrera y Vicente no acudir a ella, se hubiera quedado a 1  punto de empatar, dando la victoria a Vicente.
La salida se produce sin ningún incidente importante, Vicente se pone primero seguido de Jonathan, por detrás el grupo compacto. Trascurrido muy poco tiempo Jesus Rico tiene un problema y debe abandonar la carrera. En el primer repostaje entran los dos pilotos de cabeza en la misma vuelta, Vicente y Jonathan, que les separa no más de 15 metros de circuito. Jose luis Hernandez, ( Aspirante al Título….)  corona y pierda mucho tiempo dejándolo fuera de las primera posiciones, prácticamente al mismo tiempo, nuestro delegado, Bretcha no puede continuar por culpa de un servo que le estaba dando problemas,,, bueno problemas problemas, los tuvo desde que llego, se paso prácticamente 2 horas montando y desmontado el coche, cuando no se le rompía la correa, se quemaba el embrague o el depósito o  etc……
Javi Rojas realizo una muy buena carrera sin ningún tipo de problema y logrando una muy buena tercera posición.
La carrera finalizo con Vicente con la primera posición , seguida de Jonathan , que se estuvieron vigilando durante toda la carrera, con algún que otro toque.
Gran carrera, y agradecer a los pilotos de la categoría de rally game que nos echaron una mano a los que no tenían mecánicos, y al circuito por poder albergar una prueba de nuestra categoría.

Velox E8 released

"After the first preview in November we finally can release detailled information about the Velox E8, a unique and uncompromising kit specially designed for 1/8th electric on-road competition racing. The Velox E8 is based on the successful multiple European champion gas car Velox V8 "EC" and has nearly the same balance which is only possible by using a one-piece 6S Lipo mounted in the same area like the fuel tank of the V8 available through Shepherd and various battery manufacturers. Making use of many features of the nitro variant such as the complete suspension, the 3-belt drive train and other features like the laid down steering servo the performance on the track is similar or even better compared with the nitro version. A great feature is the possibility to mount standard 1/8 brushless motors and ESCs as well as the high end combos of Swiss company TTB without any additional parts needed. For the use of standard components a 7075 T6 aluminium motor mount and a high quality carbon plate for the ESC are included in the kit while the TTB combo can be mounted directly on the chassis plate using for screws for a perfect fit. The Velox E8 comes with an high quality 7075 T6 aluminium chassisplate for optimized engine cooling with a nice carbon insert to protect the battery from heating up.

Velox V10 "PRO" 2015 Version

Following the introduction the 2015 version Velox V8 EC 1/8th scale kit Shepherd now announce the Velox V10 Pro 2015 1/10th 200mm nitro touring car. The upgraded kit comes with the "Team Edition" chassis plate machichined from finest German 7075-T6 aluminium that sports an additional cutout for the middle bearing block which prevents it from twisting and keeps the belts always in a straight line. Also included is the optional radio plate mount to increase stiffness and strength while reducing wear at the radioplate at the same time.

Other features include smaller steering and camber link pivot balls and balljoints for less play and lower wear, a new carbon body mount plate for more stable body support and a hollowed lightweight 2-speed shaft to reduce weight and rotating mass by about 30 percent, resulting in improved acceleration. The 2015 kit is rounded out by steel pivot balls for the shock absorbers for less play and lower wear while the aluminium ones are still available as an option part for racers concentrating on weight savings. The kits are available from now on.

Shepherd Bull X8 announcement

"Following a first teaser late last month, German company Shepherd have now released complete information on their debut entry in the competitive nitro off-road buggy class, the Bull X8. Previously an on-road only company, Shepherd have gone with a conventional design for their first ever off-road buggy. The Bull X8 is based on a hard-coated 4mm 7075 aluminium chassis, and it features aluminium suspension mounts with composite inserts to fine-tune the suspension geometry, aluminium shock absorbers with titanium-nitride coated shock shafts and 5mm carbon fibre shock towers. Included with the kit is a 3 shoe clutch with aluminium shoes, silicone-sealed ball bearings as well as a cab forward bodyshell."
