(About Vilareal´s track)
It is a fantastic facility and the
layout is nice. It would be even better if it would be just a little bit
smaller, lets say 80% of its scale. Also the tire wear is high, which
is not so nice. But I have been to tracks with similar wear. The fact
that Pietsch changed tires 3 times in the final is more because of his
tire choice, since a lot of drivers including me changed only one time.
(About Team Serpent)
I was happy to be competitive and regarding the fact that we have
little experience with tire treatment I think we did a good job. But
then I think we could have been even better. Marrk Green had problems in
the final with his engine and our fastest driver Ilja van Gastel made
only one mistake in the whole week, unfortunately in the semi. Also
Nacho Lopez and Alessio Mazzeo had a good chance to make the final and
just missed it. With a little bit more luck we could have 5 cars in the
final. But then, if you asked me before the race, I would have been very
happy with the result we had.
No,
not really. Of course we always develop little things. I changed the
layout of the car a little bit to get the weight more to the back of the
car. Beside that everything was standard, also with the engines.
(Additives)
The
tire additives are a bad thing! It all started years ago when some
drivers at top level gained an unfair advantage by using them, even when
it was not allowed. So in that regard I must say its a little bit
better now, because if you don't want to cheat, at least you are able to
have a fair race.
But for me the only chance is to have a
one-brand tire for big races. It should be one brand, one hardness and
one diameter. you get the tires when you go into the pitlane. If this
does not go through at the end of this years EFRA AGM I think the Euro's
will be dead.
About
Nacho Lopez, he is a great guy!! He does some little work as an engineer for
us and he is a great talented driver. He could have been in the final
with some luck which is an amazing achievement regarding he arrived on
wednesday. On top of that he is a good man.
